Sitting on the banks of the Tennessee River just NW of the Great Smoky Mountains, Knoxville is home to the University of Tennessee and countless businesses. This city is more than just a college town; it's a multicultural community that embraces an array of pastimes.

Downtown Knoxville is full of interesting boutique shops and restaurants including the independent Union Ave Books and the old-time Mast General Store, as well as an array in the popular Market Square. Cumberland Gap National Historical Park and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, both within a short drive of the city, are beautiful places to go for amazing views and activities, as is Ijams Nature Center, located south of downtown.

Knoxville has become increasingly known for its lively downtown, budding restaurant scene, eclectic nightlife, rich outdoor recreation, competitive sports, and a host of activities for all ages. The downtown art scene and community are continually growing, putting Knoxville on the map in the Southeast for artists alike.
